My Visit to Pakistan Flood Areas

I want to do something for Pakistan Flood Victims hence I decided to first collect money from my friends and family members, then went to Makro center to purchase food including – Biscuits, Juices and Water bottles in large quantities to donate them at the PAF Museum in Karachi.

There at the PAF Museum, an officer asked me and my colleagues to volunteer in providing these supplies (goods) to the flood affected victims. We agreed.

On Friday August 20, 2010, Me and my colleagues left for the disaster zone with other army officers via a helicopter I really had no idea of what to expect as i wasn’t aware about the scope of a disaster relief effort.

It was really astonishing to see from the air that almost all the houses in the area were submerged and islands were created. I gathered some pictures from the air and some on the land at the relief camp and here they are:
