My Visit to Pakistan Flood Areas

I want to do something for Pakistan Flood Victims hence I decided to first collect money from my friends and family members, then went to Makro center to purchase food including – Biscuits, Juices and Water bottles in large quantities to donate them at the PAF Museum in Karachi.

There at the PAF Museum, an officer asked me and my colleagues to volunteer in providing these supplies (goods) to the flood affected victims. We agreed.

On Friday August 20, 2010, Me and my colleagues left for the disaster zone with other army officers via a helicopter I really had no idea of what to expect as i wasn’t aware about the scope of a disaster relief effort.

It was really astonishing to see from the air that almost all the houses in the area were submerged and islands were created. I gathered some pictures from the air and some on the land at the relief camp and here they are:

You would not believe your eyes if ten million fireflies litup the world as i fell asleep, cause they’d fill the open air and leave tear drops everywhere, you think me rude but i would just stand and stare

I’d like to make myself believe; that planet earth turns slowly, its hard to say that i rather stay awake when i am asleep, cause everything is never as it seems.

Cause i’d get a thousand hugs from ten thousand lightning bugs as they try to teach me how to dance, a fox trot above my head a sock hop beneath my bed, a disco ball that is hanging just by a thread

Leave my door open just a crash cause i’d feel like such an insomniac, why do i tire of counting sheep when i am far too tired to fall asleep, to ten million fireflies i am weird cuse i hate good byes, I got misty eyes as they said farewell, But i’ll know where several are, If my dreams get real bizarre cause i saved a few and keep them in a jar.

Because my dreams are bursting at the seems!

When we think of law degree; a Lawyer, a courtroom and lawyer arguments with the judge etc comes to our mind – full of drama and publicity, grilling witnesses etc. But in reality most lawyers rarely see the courtroom but if they are typically involved in the the court proceedings, than they spend almost all the time doing research, conducting interviews or writing documents in the courtroom.
